Mivo's engineering focus is narrow and deep: we specialize exclusively in copper continuous casting. This means our process knowledge, tooling, and instrumentation are all tuned for the specific challenges of casting copper — melt chemistry control, crystallizer wear management, oxygen exclusion, and speed-temperature optimization.
We do not adapt equipment designed for other metals to copper. Our graphite crystallizer designs, cooling circuits, and traction systems are developed specifically for copper's thermal conductivity, shrinkage behavior, and surface oxidation characteristics.
